I'm not so new anymore but back when I was new here's what happened: after three days of "teaching" my sixth grade son at home, I realized our relationship would never recover from an entire year of math worksheets, English lessons, and the feelings of frustration which marked the end of our, admittedly few, days. So this blog documents our first year of unschooling--the good, the bad, and the better--and then it just keeps on going...

My Usual Approach
I'm not going to write much today because I've spent most of the day sorting, organizing, shredding, etc and I'm ready to put all responsibility aside, change into my PJs (yes, before 5pm) and read my new book. In the meantime, head over to Hyperbole and a Half and read This is Why I'll Never be an Adult. It pretty much sums up my usual approach to getting things done. And it's hilarious.

OMG! Thanks for the link to "This is Why..."
That was too funny and the graphics just made it.
Wow, you wait til 5 to get into your jammies? I do my running around in the morning so that I can be in mine by 2 pm at the latest. Of course that's only 2 hours before it gets dark here.
;)
Isn't it great, Sheri? I love everything she does over there!
Just found you after a search for home education on twitter. Came over to your blog and knew I'd found a kindred spirit when you linked to Hyperbole and a Half's "This Is Why I'll Never Be A Responsible Adult." That's so me.
